Gaston County, NC (WNN) - Services are being held for the two Gaston County, NC business owners who were shot and killed in Charlotte, NC on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025.
Anilkumar (Anil) Sombhai Patel, age 54, owned the Bojangles Restaurant at 1020 E Church St., Cherryville, NC. The Cherryville Bojangles manager, Kathy Kelley, stated, "Just keep us in your prayers. Pray for his family and the entire staff who are suffering. He made such an impact on all." She asked the community to be understanding with her staff in the coming days. A funeral service will be held for Anil on Monday, October 6th, 3:30 PM at Palmetto Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2049 Carolina Place, Fort Mill, SC 29708 (changed from original location). Pankaj Kiritbhai (PK) Patel, 54, owned the Circle A Food Store at 1301 N Main St., Mount Holly, NC. Funeral services for Pankaj will be held at Greene Funeral Service, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 7th, 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.
A candlelight service for Pankaj (PK) Patel will be held at the Circle A Food Store, 1301 N Main St, Mount Holly, NC 28120, on Tuesday, October 7th, at 7 PM.
