Head-On Collision Closes Shelby Highway For Several Hours

Cherryville, NC (WNN) - A head-on collision involving injuries was reported around 7:30 a.m. on Shelby Highway near Paul H. Beam Road in Cherryville.

The crash involved entrapment after one vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree, trapping an occupant who sustained injuries.

Traffic was cleared around 9:30 a.m. Further details about the crash and the extent of the injuries were not immediately available.
