What’s Happening At the Delview Mart of Cherryville?

Cherryville NC (WNN) – Cherryville residents who use Delview Road may have noticed that the Delview Mart has the area around the pumps taped off. The station located at 906 Delview Rd, Cherryville, NC 28021 has this in place to ensure customer safety.

Reason For the Blockade:

This local store sports a canopy covering its pumps. According to the owner, during the recent high winds this past weekend, the right post supporting the canopy was damaged. This caused the support pillar to lean at an unsafe angle. The area has been surrounded at a safe distance with caution tape for this reason.

Can I Go to the Delview Mart?

The Delview Mart is open and is offering its full selection other than gas at this time. When speaking with the owner, he said that he is in contact with a company to remove the canopy, making the pumps safe again. He expects they will come to work on the issue later today, January 3rd, 2025, so gas services should be restored shortly. He also stated that he would be replacing the canopy, which was a nearly 50-year-old structure, at a later date.
