These Commercials Are Stealing The Spotlight Before Kickoff

Super Bowl Sunday

Posted

Cherryville, NC (WNN) - As we head into Super Bowl weekend, many viewers are more excited about the commercials than about the Seahawks versus the Patriots. That excitement has led several major brands to release teasers for their Super Bowl appearance ahead of time, essentially creating an ad about an ad.

Viewers nationwide can expect to see around 50+ commercials throughout the broadcast. Most ads run between 30 seconds and a minute, and some news outlets report that a 30-second ad spot can cost around $8 million.

This year's 60th Super Bowl showcases various ads from the heartwarming to the weird, and we're here to show you what commercials we're excited about.

  • The Choice: Pepsi takes a bold and humorous approach by featuring Coca-Cola's iconic Polar Bear mascot. When the bear prefers Pepsi over Coke, the bear starts to question his loyalty.
  • Last Harvest: Lay's delivers an emotional, multigenerational story centered on a family's potato farm. The commercial features the song "Somewhere Only We Know" and focuses on the product's legacy.
  • Jurassic Park Works: Xfinity reunites Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum in their original Jurassic Park roles. They jokingly suggested that the chaos of 1993 could have been avoided if the park had better Wi-Fi. This spot is filled with nostalgic callbacks that feel like a mini movie.
  • Hungry for the Truth: Uber Eats brings together multiple celebrity cameos, including Matthew McConaughey and Bradley Cooper, while poking fun at the question: "Is Football Selling Food?" The brand also lets users create their own commercials within the app, offering more than 1,000 versions and a game-day deal of 50% off $15+ deliveries.

The Super Bowl Commercials are already shaping up to be just as entertaining as the game itself. Will you be tuning in?
