Maiden Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Assault at Lincolnton Walmart

Lincolnton, NC (WNN)- A 25-year-old man from Maiden, NC, was arrested on Friday, February 13th, after allegedly targeting two girls inside the Lincolnton Walmart.

What Happened

At 8 pm on Friday, Lincolnton Police Department Officers were dispatched to Walmart, located at 306 N. Generals Blvd., for a report of harassment. When they arrived, they learned that the suspect, Tristan Blain Coleman, had approached a juvenile girl inside the store, attempted to grab her, and get her to leave with him.

It has also been reported that Coleman had a cell phone inside and might have taken a photo of the inside of the child's clothing. During the encounter, Coleman also allegedly assaulted a second juvenile girl before leaving the scene. This incident was reported to the police afterwards.

His Charges

Following the investigation, authorities charged Tristan Coleman with one count of attempted kidnapping, two counts of taking inappropriate actions with a child, and one count of assaulting a female.

Coleman was arrested and is being held in a secure area of the Lincoln County Jail. He will remain in jail until he appears before a judge on Monday, February 16th, to set his bond.
