Cherryville, NC (WNN) - The boil advisory issued on April 13, 2026, has now been lifted as of 11 AM on Tuesday, April 14, following successful testing and system repairs.
The City of Cherryville released a public notice stating that crews tested the water for harmful bacteria at seven locations, and all results came back "safe and free from any bacteria."
Citizens should expect some water discoloration, which is a temporary issue and should clear within a few days. As a precaution, citizens should discard any ice made in refrigerators within the past 24-48 hours.
