Shelby, NC (WNN) โ The law firm of Teddy, Meekins & Talbert, 1219 Fallston Road in Shelby, NC, held a press conference on 9/13/2024. During the press conference, Attorney David R. Teddy, who represents 80-year-old Roy Lee Dedmon, spoke about the recent search warrant in connection with the missing Asha Degree. Dedmonโs properties have been investigated by FBI, SBI, and Cleveland County Sheriffโs officers recently, sparking a frenzy of public speculation.
Teddy said the search warrant for Dedmonโs properties โwill link a person to the circumstances of Ashaโs disappearance that is no longer living.โ
Teddy went on to say that โRoy and his family have maintained that they are not involved in the disappearance of Asha Degree and have no information about her disappearance that will help law enforcement.โ
9-year-old Asha Degree went missing on February 14th, 2000, from her home in Shelby, NC, and has not been seen since. Her disappearance has caused 24 years of pain for her family and residents in the Shelby area.
The search warrant(s) have yet to be released.
