Mermaid Sightings in Cherryville NC

Cherryville, NC (WNN) – With the end of summer is quickly approaching for many students in the area, and what better way to end the season than with a classic Disney play?
The Cherryville Little Theatre is proud to present Disney’s The Little Mermaid. This fun-filled musical classic features 41 cast members from the area, with young and older actors participating.
At the VIP opening show on August 1st, 2024, was a spectacular event filled with laughter, bubbles, flashing lights, smoke, a colorful set, tailored costumes, and more. Director Angie Dolan expressed her joy, saying, “Directing ‘The Little Mermaid’ has been such a joy, and it has turned out exactly how I envisioned it on stage.”
The show features Ariel’s (Veronica Lugo) strong vocals and Ursula’s (Noah Bolton) mean but comical demeanor, making it enjoyable for kids and adults. The approximately two-hour performance includes one intermission, during which you can buy refreshments. There’s also a raffle for a gift basket during intermission, which includes season tickets for next year!
Cherryville’s local production team for The Little Mermaid includes Angie Dolan, Director and Choreographer; Mary Bolton, Music Director; Bridgette Conboy, Stage Manager; Matt Walega, Technical Director; and Autumn Bolton, Set Designer.ย
“The Little Mermaid” will be the final play of the CLT 2023-24 season. Plans are already underway for the 2024-25 season. Some of the upcoming mainstage plays for the next season include “School House Rock,” “Alice by Heart,” “The Road to Oregon,” and “She Kills Monsters.”
The Cherryville Little Theatre Board of Directors includes Angie Dolan, Bridgette Conboy, Matt Walega, Mary Beth Tackett, Sara Sandoval, Wade Stroupe, Connie Fox, and Autumn Bolton.
