Eye Witnesses Report Cherryville Bigfoot Sightings

CHERRYVILLE, NC (WNN) – Many Cherryville residents have reported seeing a large unidentified animal around the city. Some claim it resembles Bigfoot; the urban legend known for its towering height, hairy body and large feet.
Eyewitnesses began reporting the Bigfoot sightings on the morning of April 1, 2024. The creature has been spotted at many popular attractions around Cherryville. It appears to be sightseeing.
The first eyewitness said they spotted the creature by the New Year Shooters
statue. Although they wished to remain anonymous, the source said they saw Bigfoot taking a selfie with the statue.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was going for a run this morning and I saw Bigfoot with the New Year Shooter’s statue. I have never seen anything like this in Cherryville,” the source said.
The selfie was found online under the account: emergencysasqwatchlist. The profile is dedicated to Bigfoot sightings around the Carolinas.
In the picture, Bigfoot is wearing a hat and glasses, however, no other images of the creature with such accessories have been captured.
Another resident reported that their dog took off running after the creature early this morning. This directly correlates with another eyewitness who saw Bigfoot cradling the dog in its arms. It is unknown if the dog returned home.
A volunteer at the Cherryville Historical Museum reported that the creature attempted to visit the museum; however, it is only open on Saturdays. Upon finding the door locked, Bigfoot let out a roar that could be heard around the city.
“I was archiving some old newspaper articles when I heard the door. Before I reached the window to see who it was, there was this terrible scream that sounded like an animal,” the volunteer said, “I locked myself in the bathroom.”
The creature was also spotted at a red picnic table enjoying a Lotta Burger. It is unknown which location Bigfoot purchased its Lotta Burger from; however, it was Cherryville style. Drips of white coleslaw were found at the scene after Bigfoot fled.
The last witness said the creature seemed to be injured. They said the creature fell into a roadway pothole on the west side of town as it was fleeing towards the mountains. It was last seen limping away.
The Cherryville Police Department is investigating the reports. They are currently unaware if Bigfoot is visiting and engaging in tourism or if it moved to the area. When they find it, they will arrest it for theft of an animal and a misdemeanor noise complaint.
Bigfoot’s visit to Cherryville correlates with the recent growth the city has experienced. As Cherryville gets more restaurants and businesses could residents expect to see more Bigfoot in the area? This is an ongoing investigation, check back with WNN for more updates.
