Cherryville, NC (WNN)— The Dollar Tree Plus store, located at 2301 Lincolnton Highway, marked its official grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Residents, including the owners of the local Scooters Coffee, joined city officials and Cherryville Chamber of Commerce representatives to celebrate the store’s arrival.

“Just because this business is not on Main Street does not mean you are not important to us,” Craft stated. He offered the chamber’s assistance and wished the store continued success in its new location. “We’re here to help in any way we can. May you have great success in this location,” Craft added.

Mayor Extends Official Welcome

Cherryville Mayor H.L. Beam extended a warm welcome to the city, congratulating Dollar Tree on its beautiful facility and recognizing the strong community presence at the event. He highlighted the large crowd and the store’s diverse product offerings as indicators of future success, stating, “We don’t have to wish you success, but we will.”

Beam emphasized the city’s commitment to supporting the new business, adding, “We’re only a phone call away. 704-435-1700. If you need anything at all, give us a call. We’ll be glad to accommodate you in any way we can. And thank you for being here.”

Store Manager Seeks Community Support, Emphasizes Growth

Sheila Gamble, the store manager, expressed her enthusiasm for the new location and its potential for growth, urging the community to come check out the store. Gamble explained that more business meant more opportunities for employment and increased hours for her staff.

“The more business we can get, the better. The more employees I can give jobs to, the more hours they can get. As sales go up, so does everything else.” Gamble also highlighted the store’s affordable products and dedicated employees, emphasizing the appeal of finding good deals for Cherryville shoppers.

Real Estate Efforts Acknowledged, Doors Open to Shoppers

Rusty Wise, WNN reporter and owner of Wise Real Estate, spoke at the ribbon cutting, stating, “We worked on this deal for about two years. On behalf of Wise Electric Control and Wise Real Estate, we really appreciate you coming. You’ll do well, and I think you did very well on your first day.” He continued, “On behalf of our companies, we wish you well.”

Wise Real Estate was instrumental in attracting other businesses to the area, such as Scooter’s Coffee, and is working to attract more. “More businesses are coming to Cherryville, and hopefully, we can announce some of those soon,” stated Wise.

With the ribbon officially cut, those present were invited to explore the new Dollar Tree Plus store, discovering its wide array of products and taking advantage of the special deals offered.
