Cherryville, NC (WNN)- The McDonald’s, located in Cherryville NC at 1000 E Church St, is inviting customers to check out its newly renovated restaurant, featuring updated kitchen equipment and a fresh, modern dining area. The grand reopening, which took place on Saturday, November 9, celebrated the completion of a makeover designed to improve the store’s appearance and overall customer experience.
Owner Discusses Store’s Renovation Plans
Owner and operator Bud Kuthan purchased the location in 2014. He explained that the remodel is part of a ten-year cycle of refreshing McDonald’s restaurants. “Every ten years we try to refresh the business and keep it current with what you see in new buildings today,” Kuthan said.
Key Updates Include Kiosks and New Kitchen Equipment
The renovations include the installation of self-service kiosks in the dining area, replacing the traditional counter ordering system, and revamping the kitchen with an upgraded production system. “It makes it easier for the employees to provide the food that you get served here,” Kuthan noted. The interior design also reflects the latest trends in McDonald’s restaurant décor. It has bright, modern touches that aim to enhance the overall dining experience.
McDonald’s Long History in Cherryville
The Cherryville McDonald’s has been a fixture in the community since it was relocated from across the street in the early 2000s. As part of its ongoing commitment to the area, the restaurant undergoes updates every ten years to stay fresh and in line with current trends. “I want to be part of the community,” said owner Kuthan, reflecting on the recent remodel. “Cherryville is revitalizing its downtown area and attracting new businesses, and I’m proud to be a part of that.”
Mayor Applauds Local Business Investment
Cherryville Mayor H.L. Beam attended the grand reopening and praised the renovation as part of a broader revitalization trend in the downtown area. “We’ve seen a lot of businesses investing in their properties, from Walmart to Food Lion, and now McDonald’s,” Beam said. “It’s great to see the continued growth in our community.”
Celebration Features Family Fun and Promotions
The event included a variety of enjoyable activities for families, such as face painting and a prize wheel. In addition, the first 50 customers who ordered breakfast or lunch through the McDonald’s app received a free Big Mac or Egg McMuffin once a month for a year. This promotion attracted a lot of attention from the local community.
Monday, Nov. 11: Honoring Veterans
On Veterans Day, McDonald’s offered a free breakfast combo to all active and retired military personnel and their families. The meal included a hash brown and a choice of any size soft drink, coffee, or tea. Veterans get this free meal by showing their military ID or wearing their uniform during breakfast hours as a thank-you for their service.
Cherryville Location Tops in Sales
“We want everyone to come down and enjoy the new facility,” Beam said. “This is a great place to bring your family, and we’re excited to see what’s next for Cherryville.” The Cherryville McDonald’s is one of several locations owned by Kuthan and his business partner, Shawn Kuthan. Together, they operate eight stores. According to Beam, the Cherryville location stands out as their most successful. “They said this is why they love small towns,” he noted. “Cherryville is their number one store.”
McDonald’s Remodel Part of Revitalization
The remodel and grand reopening show that Cherryville is continuing to grow, with new businesses and improvements happening in the area. The McDonald’s renovation is just one example of how local businesses are helping to bring new energy to the town and attract more customers.
Ready to Serve Customers in Style
For now, Cherryville McDonald’s is all set to serve customers with a fresh new look to keep up with the fast food trends.
