Georgia Bea’s Opens in Cherryville
By: Rusty Wise (WNN)
Cherryville, NC (WNN)—Spring brings freshness and newness, such as green grass and flowers, but this Spring has also brought a new boutique to Cherryville, North Carolina. Georgia Bea’s Boutique, located at 205 North Mountain Street, held its ribbon cutting on the first day of Spring, Thursday, March 20th, at 11:30 AM.

Chamber of Commerce and City Support
The Cherryville Chamber of Commerce held the ribbon cutting, and Chamber representative Allison Brewer welcomed Georgia Bea’s to Cherryville. Cherryville’s Mayor, H.L. Beam, and Main Street Director David Day were other welcomers and speakers to the approximately 40 people in attendance during the ribbon cutting.
Georgia Bea’s and Owner Stephanie Lane

The boutique’s owner is Stephanie Lane of Cherryville. Lane, originally from Indiana, married Roger Lane, a Cherryville Native. After living in Texas, the Lanes moved to Cherryville in the mid-90s. Stephanie is no stranger to business ownership; she also operated another Cherryville business. “This is the second business I’ve had here. I owned Hair Cuts and Tan Perfect for 13 years… so this is like a third. I’m a busy body. I have to have something keep me to keep myself busy”. Also, according to Stephanie, the boutique started online in 2022 and had a booth at the Painted Tree in Gastonia, NC. The lease was up this March, so the move to Cherryville happened. When asked about the name, Stephanie stated, “My mother’s name is Beatrice, Georgia. She passed in 2000, and she was from New York. She had always loved fashion, which was way ahead of her time. So I just flipped the names around and named it Georgia Bea’s.”
What Is A Boutique?
According to Stephanie, a Boutique is a store that sells more exclusive items than larger box stores. Boutiques offer a curated experience with carefully chosen clothing and accessories to personalize and enhance the shopping experience. Many of the brands are zip code protected, so you will not find another item close to you in another store. Georgia Bea’s Boutique will offer brands such as Kendra Scott, Tyler Products, Mud Pie, Farm Home Fresh, and Diba True Boots, to name a few. The boutique will also offer private events for those wanting a unique boutique experience.
