By: Wise News Network Staff
Cherryville, NC (WNN)— Cherryville residents can expect many things to come throughout the week, with a fireworks test, generator upgrades, a new boutique opening, and a lunar eclipse on the horizon.
Fireworks Test Planned
The City of Cherryville will conduct a fireworks test at dusk tonight, March 12th. The test will take place in the parking lot of the Larry & Carolyn Summer Recreation Center. Residents in the area should expect brief periods of noise.

Generator Upgrade Near City Hall

Workers with A.M.E. Contracting, who work for Carolina Cat Construction, are currently replacing a muffler on a generator near city hall on West Academy Street. A worker at the site confirmed that the companies plan to install a newer, more carbon-neutral exhaust system. This work is part of a larger plan to upgrade generators at other locations throughout North Carolina. The generator is a part of the ElectriCites load-shedding program.
