The opening of Green Leaf Relief is a personal triumph for founder Jeff Williams, who has been an advocate for the healing power of CBD. Speaking at the event, Williams shared the struggles that led him to discover hemp. A longtime construction worker who endured chronic pain from multiple motorcycle accidents, Williams was frustrated when traditional medical treatments failed to provide relief. “I was in so much pain that I wasn’t sure I’d make it to retirement,” Williams reflected.

Williams’ journey toward wellness began when he started experimenting with CBD. “I tried CBD, and it worked okay” he explained. Encouraged by his success, Williams delved deeper into the science of CBD, eventually creating his own pain-relief cream. What started as a personal solution soon blossomed into a thriving business. “I made it myself, and I couldn’t believe how well it worked,” Williams recalled. “I started sharing it with others who had similar problems, and they experienced the same results.”

Now, Green Leaf Relief offers a diverse range of CBD products, from topicals and tinctures to edibles, all designed to promote physical and mental well-being. The business has been in operation for four years and has expanded rapidly, with locations already in Maiden, Lincolnton, and Cherryville, with plans underway for a new location in Vale, NC. “We’re just getting started,” Williams said, reflecting on the future of his business. “We want to keep growing, but more than that, we want to keep helping people.”

Empowering Customers Through Education About CBD and Hemp

A key component of Green Leaf Relief’s mission is its dedication to educating the public about the benefits of CBD and hemp. Many people still have misconceptions about hemp, often confusing it with marijuana or associating it with recreational drug use. Williams and his team work to dispel these myths by creating an environment where customers can safely learn about hemp and its potential benefits.

“As a society, we’ve been taught that hemp and cannabis are bad,” said Pizza Paul, the general manager of the company. “But what we’re doing here is breaking that stigma and offering an alternative to synthetic pharmaceuticals. It’s about returning to natural, healing plants.” Paul emphasized that hemp-based products can provide relief from a range of health issues, including anxiety, sleep problems, and chronic pain.

The dispensary staff helps customers navigate product selections to find what suits their needs. “CBD affects everyone differently,” said Williams. “That’s why we listen to our customers to find the best options for them.”

CBD Products for People, Pets, and Beyond

Green Leaf Relief’s product offerings go beyond human health. The company also carries CBD products designed specifically for animals. Paul explained that CBD works with the endocannabinoid system, which is present in all mammals, including pets like dogs, cats, and even horses. “CBD can help your pets with everything from anxiety to joint pain,” he said. “We’re not just about helping people—we’re about improving the well-being of animals too.”

A standout product at Green Leaf Relief is “Jeff’s Wonder Cream,” a pain-relief cream made with a blend of CBD, cocoa butter, shea butter, and other natural ingredients such as turmeric and eucalyptus. According to Williams, the cream was originally created to address his own pain, but it quickly became a customer favorite. “It’s great for everything from arthritis to sore muscles, and it even helps with skin conditions like psoriasis,” he said.
