North Mountain Street Residential Fire

CHERRYVILLE, NC (WNN) – The Cherryville Fire Department received an early morning call on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, regarding a residential fire. They responded promptly to extinguish the blaze.

The fire broke out at 500 North Mountain Street in Cherryville. The homeowner has been notified. 

Jason Wofford, the chief of the fire department, spoke with reporters on the scene. The fire department received the call at 6:30 am. He mentioned that the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it originated on the second floor. He also clarified that no one was injured.
