GASTONIA, NC (WNN) – Commuters on Interstate 85 North in Gastonia faced delays on Wednesday afternoon following an incident involving a tractor trailer’s saddle tank rupture. The rupture caused approximately 100 gallons of diesel fuel to spill on the roadway.

The spill occurred between exits 19 and 21 in Gastonia when the tractor trailer collided with debris on the roadway. No injuries were reported in connection with the accident.

Responders from the Gaston County Office of Emergency Management and Fire Services arrived on the scene to assist the Gastonia Fire Department in the clean up.
