Cherryville, NC (WNN) - Today on the Wise News Network, Monday Movie Review, we have a horror-comedy, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, from Searchlight Pictures. The R-rated movie, released on March 20th, 2026, starring Samara Weaving as Grace, begins at the end of her battle against the Le Domas Family. Quickly, game two starts without her consent to defeat the Danforth Family, and the blood and gore start all over again. Grace has a chance to rule the world over the satanic families that run everything. She quickly gets reacquainted with her long-lost sister, Faith, played by Kateryn Newton, and the dynamic duo fights the world-dominating families throughout. The hide-and-seek game is about winning to rule the world, but the backstory is the relationship between Grace and Faith.
The evil in the film is represented by the unseen devil (Mr. Le Bail) and rich families who run the world behind the scenes, a possible reference to how things appear to run today. The movie has a couple of scary scenes, but most of the film is just bloody gore with some humor thrown in. The movie has some continuity issues with scenes. One minute, everyone is covered in blood, and the next, everyone is cleaned up. It's a work of fiction (hopefully), but some scenes are too unrealistic. The story is predictable but has some surprises along the way.
Movie Rating System (Owl-Hoot Scale):
I'll give it a 3 out of 5 on the hoot scale. It's a something-to-do movie, but I don't expect it to become a blockbuster. Ready or Not 2 may be the last one unless they can reimagine the series.
