Cherryville, NC (WNN) - The movie Normal was released on Friday, April 17th, 2026. The crime-action-thriller starring Bob Odenkirk is similar to his other Nobody films, except that he plays an official sheriff named Uylsses Richardson in the fictional town of Normal, Minnesota. Normal's Mayor Kibner is played by Henry Winkler, also known as the Fonz in another role, if you are old enough to remember that character. Uylsses (Odenkirk) finds himself filling in temporarily as the Town of Normal's Sheriff. Normal is a fitting name for the small town until you realize the entire town has sold its soul to money. Everything seems fine until a pair of thieves rob the local bank and set off a firestorm of non-stop action. There are a couple of plot twists, and the film is well shot. Odenkirk is on character and great as usual, but I still see the lawyer "Saul Goodman" in the Breaking Bad Series.

The Normal movie is rated "R" for the blood and gore, and there is plenty of it. Writers for the film are Odenkirk and Derek Kolstad. Kolstad is also the writer for the John Wick and Nobody films. Other actors include Ryan Allen and Billy MacLellan, both as deputies. Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) plays Moira, and actress Jess McLeod plays Alex. Overall, the movie is about a corrupt small town in Minnesota and how outside money affects the community. Normal is supposed to be a fictional story, but it may have threads of truth in it. Overall, it's a decent movie, but pretty "normal" for this type.

Overall, I'll give it 3.5 Hoots. It's a good Bob Odenkirk movie, but it's "normal" to say the least. If you like a blood-spewing action crime thriller, then this is your movie.
