Lincoln County NC (WNN)- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has arrested Donnie Ray Wallace, 50, and Allyson Kerri Peace, 23, on drug charges following a month-long narcotics investigation.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit concluded a month-long narcotics operation on Wednesday, February 19, leading to arrests. Investigators had received information that Wallace was selling large amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl throughout Lincoln County and surrounding counties.
On Wednesday, detectives were informed that Wallace was at a location with a significant amount of fentanyl. As a result, officers set up around the area and stopped the vehicle Wallace was in. A search revealed that Wallace had 20 grams of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a firearm. As a convicted felon, Wallace is prohibited from having a firearm.
Wallace faces charges of trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a controlled substance in a penal institution. Meanwhile, Peace faces charges of possession of methamphetamine.
Wallace, a convicted felon, initially remained under a no-bond hold but later had a bond set at $75,000 secured. Authorities released Peace on an unsecured bond. Wallace is scheduled to appear in District Court on March 13, while Peace is scheduled to appear in court on February 24.
