Highway 150 Westbound Under Repair Near Shake Shop and Ronald’s 

Cherryville, NC (WNN) - The section of road on West Highway 150 from Ronald’s Grill to the stoplight at Delview Road, in Cherryville, NC, has become infamous for the bumpy patch from past water line failures.  The NC Division of Highway Services is repairing this as of June 24, 2026.  The on-site director estimates the work will be completed between 3 PM and 4 PM today.

The patch is being cut up entirely, which means this is not simply cold-patch being applied to the rough areas. The tool they're using is water-cooled, so the water on the road is not a leak. This should result in a complete fix for the spot. Please exercise caution when traveling on Highway 150, or use Academy Street to navigate around the section of road under construction.
