Gaston County PE Teacher Faces Two Felony Counts Involving a Student

Gastonia, NC (WNN) - Victoria Lynn Powell, 31, of Grover in Cleveland County, a PE teacher at Hunter Huss High School, has been suspended after being charged with two felony counts involving a student under the age of 16, according to the Gaston County Police. The charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred on November 1st.

As listed on school district records, Powell is listed on the Gaston County Schools website as a Health/PE teacher at Hunter Huss High School. According to other news sources, Powell has been suspended with pay.
 
Powell was arrested on Monday, December 1st, and booked into the Gaston County Jail, where she is currently being held without bond.
