Gaston County Man Arrested Following Stabbing Assault

Cherryville, NC (WNN) - The Gaston County Police Department responded to an assault call located at 7351 Dallas Cherryville Highway around 4:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Suspect Joshua Moore was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and violation of a domestic violence protection order.

The victim was reported to have suffered several stab wounds and was treated at a hospital before being released.
